My New Favorite Thing On TV

Wow, it got all serious up in here for a while there. Never fear, this post is about something frivolous. But I still think you all should watch Dear Zachary if you get the chance, it's important.

And now on to My New Favorite Thing On TV. My Big Redneck Wedding, showing on CMT, is awesome. It's not actually new, just something I recently discovered. I credit my sister and her husband with the find, as I think it is the only thing I will ever watch that airs on CMT. It's basically just like those TLC reality wedding shows, except it is hosted by Tom Arnold and it is about rednecks. And it is the best thing ever. It's like watching a train wreck, it just keeps getting more horrifying and I find myself unable to look away. For example, in tonight's episode, the bride purchased her dress for $19 and used a Bedazzler to stamp "Mrs. Lewis" on the back in fake gemstones. Classy.

The best episode I have seen yet involved the husband to be peeing "will you marry me?" into the snow. Every girl's dream, I know! There was of course a wedding morning snafoo, nothing ever goes quite according to plan does it? The bride was unfortunately unable to locate her teeth that morning. Of course, the mother of the bride had a ready solution, she quickly pulled out her own teeth saying "you want mine??". Now I know what to do should I get married and find myself sans teeth!

Also in tonight's episode, the bride and groom made their own "wine" by stomping on grapes in a bucket and pouring in a bottle of vodka. Turns out 10:30 AM was an excellent hour ;). Although I am not the biggest Tom Arnold fan, his particular brand of humor suits this show well, especially because he is not afraid to poke fun at his own redneck past :)

So that's my new favorite. Whenever you are needing a laugh, I highly recommend checking it out!
